SEO is a complicated business, but one that is essential for the success of your website. One of the components of SEO that has come into play more recently is content. While early attempts at content loaded down with keywords might have been enough to get a decent ranking, today’s content needs to be compelling and well written, with a creative use of keywords and plenty of up to date information. If you are looking at putting content onto your website, or updating the text that is already there, we have the tips you need to make your articles search engine friendly and enticing for your users at the same time.

Length and Quality
The length of SEO articles has changed; from the quick, easy text with plenty of white space to longer, more in depth articles. The standard length of effective content has now stretched to 1000 words or more, up from the previous industry standards. The text should be extremely well written, using proven marketing techniques and tools for search engine optimization. Because the process is highly technical, it is a good idea to hire the services of a company like BreezeGoSEO and Dreamsubmitting SEO Firm. Professionals in the industry can give you the guidelines you need to create effective copy and many have writers on staff that can produce the quality of text that you need for SEO success.

Use of Keywords
Keyword usage is still an important aspect of SEO, although this technique has also evolved somewhat. Make sure that you include your key phrase in the beginning, middle and end of each article; more if your content is longer. You can also use each of the words in your key phrase independently of one another or blend variations of your key phrase throughout the document. This technique is known as “stemming” and it has become a highly effective means of SEO in website content today. It also gives the writer a bit of artistic license in creating content that is interesting and entertaining, without making the repetition of key phrases obvious throughout the article.

Style
Search engines prefer language in articles that is natural, conversational and easy to read. Guess what? Your users will prefer this style as well. Stay away from content that sounds stuffy or overly formal for your website. If it sounds like it belongs in a formal business letter or a college textbook, it probably isn’t going to work to well on your website for SEO purposes. As you are writing your content, consider your audience. Are you writing to adults or children? Women or men? By producing articles with your target audience in mind, you are much more likely to please potential customers while you are keeping the search engines happy at the same time.

Website content is an important aspect of effective SEO, which is why it is important to hire the services of a professional if you want the most effective writing on your site. There are many components that will go into successful content, and your business will need to utilize all of them for the greatest benefit.

Writing an SEO article is not as easy as one may imagine. Knowing how to write an SEO article is not as difficult as writing an effective and readable SEO article. Of course, not everyone is capable of providing a readable article, but learning how to write such an article is not difficult.

An SEO article is an article developed by the author to increase the appearance of a website online. Usually through a good selection of choice words and proper placement of such words, a person can increase the likelihood of a certain website being highly rated by search engines. The more favorable a search engine finds a website, the high up in ranking the website becomes.

Businesses want a positive presence online. The more visitors a website has, the more possibility of a potential sale. Makes sense, right? After all, businesses are in the money business.

The first concept to understand is the idea of how a search engine works.

A search engine is a database of websites, descriptions, and other information. When a website is submitted to the search engines database, a crawler or spider will be sent out to check out your website. This crawler or spider will be checking for what words are used and how the words are used. If you are selling cameras, the crawler or spider would recognize you sell cameras by the wording and keywords for the website or page.

Then why don’t you just copy the most important words and repeat them indefinitely?

Well, crawlers or spiders are trained and evolving all the time. They are trained to ignore SPAM. That is why SEO articles must meet specific requirements, or the spider or crawler will decide your website is SPAM not worthy of being placed on the search engine. This can get a website kicked out of the search engine completely.

By have a phrase or word repeated in an article a specific number of times a website can be promoted by targeting a specific audience. More importantly, the spider or crawler will decide your website is not SPAM and worthy of placing on the search engine.

There are ways to find good keywords, and the first step may be some good old-fashioned research, or perhaps to hire a professional keyword analysis. Anyway you look at it, good keywords are essential to the future of your website regardless of the product you are selling.

Article Marketing continues to be one of the most powerful methods for generating web site traffic, building an opt-in list, and establishing credibility and positive branding. Smart internet marketers have been using this technique for the past 5 years or more.

However, what do you do after you finally finish writing and syndicating your article? Do you just let it gather dust among the vast world of internet archives? Of course not. Even after your article has been passed wildly across the internet, you can still gain lots of extra promotion by recycling your article.

I recommend several methods of recycling your article. If possible, I think you should use every single one of them. It will do wonders for your traffic and help you to quickly establish yourself as an expert in any area you choose.

One of the most powerful methods you can use is to turn your article into an audio file. If you want, you can even use a series of related articles to create your recording. By doing this, you automatically have your very own podcast ready to load up to a variety of podcast directories, including Yahoo, iTunes, Odeo, and iPodder.org. Each one of these directories can create additional traffic streams to your website. So, what are you waiting for, get recording!

Another powerful, but simple recyling technique includes emailing your articles to your newsletter subscribers. If you don’t have a newsletter, you should defenitely start one now. Otherwise, you are losing money and wasting traffic.

With a newsletter, you can build a continuing relationship with your visitors. For me, my newsletter is simply an extension of my article marketing because they both allow me to develop a relationship with my readers.

You could easily turn 7 – 10 of your articles into an ecourse and start pulling in subscribers with your very own autoresponder.

At the end of each of your articles in your newsletter, encourage your readers to republish the article with the resource box intact.

The third recycling technique involves customizing your article for a particular industry. For example, I write articles about internet marketing. After syndicating my articles, I can customize them for a variety of industries. I could target real estate agents, accountants, dentists, or even a particular demographic such as work at home moms. As you can imagine, all of these people benefit from marketing. After I complete my customized articles, I can offer them to industry associations, newsletters, and trade magazines.

Now, here’s one of my favorite techniques. If you have written an article that outlines a variety of points, you could simply expand each point into an entirely new article. For example, lets say you write an article entitled, “The 7 Best Ways to Promote Your Website”. You could expand on each of those 7 points and create 7 entirely new articles.

Looking for new article ideas? Simply go to your favorite article database and look for some articles that are in the “list” format. Then, just expand on those points and you can create multiple articles.

Contact all the publishers on your list and offer them to run your articles as a series. By using this technique, you could get publishers to syndicate you every week. Just think what this could do for building your brand and credibility.

Now, you may think that sending 7 articles to a publisher is just too much. That’s okay, you should still take advantage of this powerful technique. You can modify this method by sending a 2-article series to publishers. If your articles are enticing enough, many publishers will gladly publish them back-to-back.

The fifth and final recycling technique has the potential to send thousands of visitors to your website. To begin, you simply turn 10-30 of your articles into a PDF. Then, you must submit your ebook to as many free ebook directories as possible. This will help you gain some one-way links back to your site.

Inside your ebook, you must make it very clear that your ebook can be freely passed around as long as it is not altered. If you really want to make your ebook go viral, allow them to rebrand it with their own affiliate links.

I encourage you to immediately put these methods into use and take your article marketing to the next level. If you put in just a little bit of extra effort, I promise you that you will start to see some nice rewards.
